M.I.N.D. Step 3

Choose one of the following activities to help recognise and begin to let go of any negative thoughts or worries

BLOWING A COLOUR

  • Close your eyes, if that feels good for you. Notice any thoughts that are on your mind.

  • Notice how these thoughts make you feel. Imagine what colour this feeling would be.

  • Breathe in slowly and deeply, then breathe out through your mouth and imagine that you are blowing that colour out of your body, blow, blow, blow.

FLOATING BOATS

  • Close your eyes, if that feels good for you. Notice any thoughts that are on your mind.

  • Imagine folding that thought inside a piece of paper. Fold the piece of paper into a boat. 

  • Imagine putting your paper boat onto the water and watch your thought sail, sail, sail away.

TALL TREE

  • Close your eyes, if that feels good for you. Notice any thoughts that are on your mind.

  • Imagine you are like a tree, with roots growing into the earth below, keeping you strong.

  • Send your thoughts from your mind, down your body, down your roots, down into the earth.

  • Imagine your roots sending your thoughts down, down, down into the earth.
